The Chell FlightDaq3 is a further development of our current FlightDaq model; the FlightDaq2. The FlightDaq3 has the same class leading performance as the FlightDaq2 but with the addition of an iDDS interface and PoE compatibility.

Like the FlightDaq2, the FlightDaq3 utilises the proven MicroDAQ / MicroCAT architecture which is combined with a powerful processor and operating system to provide the iDDS interface. This is com- bined with the pneumatics necessary to shift the shuttle valve within the scanner to give full control of the scanner functions including re-zero and purge.

The enclosure features an inner machined case which is heated and insulated from the external case. This, combined with a micro-processor con- trolled heater array gives a highly stable operating temperature and low overall power consumption.

The FlightDaq uses the TE DTC scanner which provides full thermal compensation with an accuracy of 0.05% of full scale (after re-zero). The output of the scanner is differential which, combined with the internal shuttle valve control, enables any zero offset to be removed.

This differential measurement is combined with a precision barometric sensor to enable the user to select between differential or absolute outputs.

The FlightDaq3 comes with option of Power- over-Ethernet (PoE) or a DC power supply. The FlightDaq3 is compatible with Type 2 PoE (802.3at) and Type 3 PoE (802.3.bt) standards of PoE. The FlightDaq3 will detect what standard is available and configure itself accordingly. As such, a reduced heater power mode is available when using Type 2 PoE.

The FlightDaq3 also has the option of a smart sensing DC power supply that will shut down the unit if the supply rails moves outside its operat- ing band. When the power rail returns to normal, the FlightDaq will restart and resume operation.

External connectors are the Chell SQDC range which are durable, high temperature quick disconnects that are compatible with both flex- ible and solid tubes (flexible tubes only for the FlightDaq3-64). The supply gas and purge con- nectors are via Swagelok or Chell AS series quick disconnects.

The flightDaq3 is designed for on-engine as well as airframe applications and as such is tested to the D0160G vibration and shock standards.

For ease of setup, the FlightDaq is fully configur- able using an embedded web-server.
