Chell Introduces State-of-the-Art Leak Tester

World-renowned gas measurement and control experts Chell Instruments have introduced their newest product, the state-of-the-art CLC100 Leak Tester.

The CLC100 is just one of the many new instruments being developed at Chell and the latest leak test equipment created by the Norfolk engineers. This easy to use device is designed for fast and reliable leak testing in a huge range of applications. With any selectable pressure range between -1 and 10 barg, the CLC100 accurately measures leaks by pressure decay with excellent leak sensitivity.

“This unique product has been developed with the customer in mind” states Nick Broadley, Managing Director at Chell. “It’s a necessity for any engineer working with pressurised or evacuated parts. Not only does our CLC100 simplify and improve quality control, it’s also incredibly fast and easy to use”

The CLC100 Leak Tester has an easy to use intuitive setup which allows new tests to be programmed in seconds by either the device’s OLED high-resolution display or the on-board web server via connection to a computer.

The CLC100 tests for leaks via gas pressure decay or rate-of-rise measurement. During the test both a timer countdown and the current pressure are displayed. Once the test is complete, the CLC100 gives a clear pass or fall notification against programmed limits, along with the delta pressure decay or rise measured during the test.

“Leaks can cause issues in any industry,” continues Nick. “That’s why we developed this easy to use and accurate leak tester. Developed by engineers for engineers, the CLC100 is specifically designed to quickly analyse any leak in a part or system and can take mere seconds to detect losses.”

North Walsham-based Chell Instruments have been providing pressure, vacuum and gas flow measurement equipment for over 40 years. They design, manufacture and calibrate testing apparatus used in areas including Formula One, aerospace and pharmaceuticals.
