Pressure-Resistant Mass Flow Meter for Gas-Mixing Applications

The SFM4200 digital mass flow meter for air, oxygen and non-corrosive gases is particularly suitable for high-volume applications. One highlight is its pressure resistance. In contrast to its predecessors, the SFM4200 is highly pressure-resistant and delivers reliable measurements at pressure surges of up to 8 bar. With a signal processing time of 0.5 ms, the SFM4200 is incredibly fast, as well as highly accurate. It also enjoys an expanded measurement range of up to 160 slm.

Thanks to the combination of the expanded measurement range and outstanding pressure resistance, the sensor is ideal for high-volume applications such as oxygen gas mixing for medical ventilators, where the sensor is integrated into the high-pressure side. The flexible installation allows customers to use the SFM4200 to significantly develop their own devices and designs or to expand applications.

The sensor is also fitted with a digital I2C two-wire interface and delivers internally linearized and temperature-compensated measurements. The sensor has been built using Sensirion’s patented CMOSens® Technology, which enables both high-quality mass production and demanding, cost-efficient and customer-specific applications.
