The Model 9016 Ethernet Intelligent Pressure Scanner is a completely self-contained high performance pressure acquisition module for multiple measurements of dry, non-corrosive gases. The scanner integrates 16 silicon piezoresistive pressure sensors of any pressure range with a microprocessor in a compact, low cost package. Each pressure sensor contains a temperature sensor and EEPROM for storage of calibration data which enables field replacement of any transducer as well as installing multiple pressure ranges within one scanner.

An internal 32-bit microprocessor corrects for sensor zero, span, and nonlinearity errors. It also performs digital temperature compensation of the sensors to reduce thermal errors by a factor of ten or more over conventional sensor compensation. The microprocessor also controls the actuation of an integral manifold to execute on-line rezero or span calibration upon request. This capability virtually eliminates sensor zero drift error and provides guaranteed system accuracy of up to ±0.05% FS (Full Scale) after rezero.

The 9016 provides the capability to sample using three scan lists concurrently at rates up to 100 measurements per channel per second. Pressure data in engineering units is output through a 10 MBit Ethernet 802.3 interface using TCP/IP protocol. The Model 9016 Ethernet Intelligent Pressure Scanner is supplied with startup software for PC compatible computers. Field firmware upgrades are facilitated using the Host Ethernet interface.

The Model 9016 Ethernet Intelligent Pressure Scanner is a component of the NetScanner data acquisition concept. Multiple NetScanner units may be networked together to form a distributed intelligent data acquisition system.

The Model 9116 Pneumatic Intelligent Pressure Scanner is a completely self-contained high performance pressure acquisition module for multiple measurements of dry, non-corrosive gases. The scanner integrates 16 silicon piezoresistive pressure sensors of any pressure range with a 32-bit microprocessor in a compact, low cost package.

Each field-replaceable pressure sensor incorporates a temperature sensor and EEPROM for storage of calibration data as well as sensor identification information such as pressure range, factory calibration date, and user-managed last or next calibration date. The scanner provides User Accessible Memory (UAM) to facilitate Test Configuration Management (TCM) through functionality derived from the IEEE-1451 standard for smart transducers. This enables test parameters to be entered and stored within the scanner for access by the host controller during test setup and
operation.

The microprocessor digitally compensates for all sensor errors including temperature to reduce thermal errors by a factor of ten or more over conventional sensor compensation. The microprocessor also controls actuation of an integral manifold to execute on-line rezero calibration upon request. This capability virtually eliminates sensor zero drift and insures accuracy of ±0.05% FS (Full Scale) after rezero.

The Model 9116 can sample using up to three concurrent scan lists at continuous rates up to 500 measurements per channel per second in engineering units. Ethernet communication supports both TCP/IP and UDP protocols. The Model 9116 Intelligent Pressure Scanner is supplied with comprehensive Visual Basic-based software (NUSS) for PC compatible computers. Firmware upgrades are made available via PSI’s website and can be downloaded to the scanner over the Ethernet interface using NUSS.

The Model 9116 Intelligent Pressure Scanner is a component of a networked data acquisition concept called the NetScanner™ System. Multiple NetScanner modules measuring a wide variety of parameters can be networked to form a distributed intelligent data acquisition system.

APPLICATIONS
• Turbomachinery Test Stands
• Portable Test Systems
• Process Monitoring
• Hydraulic/Pneumatic Systems

The Model 9022 All-Media Intelligent Pressure Scanner is a ruggedised turnkey pressure acquisition module for multiple measurements of all-media pressures suitable for gas turbine test cell installations. The ruggedised splashproof scanner is designed to interface up to twelve (12) Series 9400 All-Media Pressure Transducers (or third party transducers) to an Ethernet interface. The 9022 provides a low pass anti-aliasing filter for each channel. In addition, 5 VDC signals can be measured on any unused input channel. The 9022 also provides a precision +5 or +10 VDC excitation source to power external transducers.

The internal 32-bit microprocessor corrects for pressure transducer zero, span, and nonlinearity errors. It also performs digital temperature compensation of the sensors to reduce thermal errors by a factor of ten or more over conventional sensor compensation. The microprocessor also controls off-line rezero and span calibrations to maintain long term sensor accuracy. This turnkey approach to all-media pressure measurement provides system static accuracy of up to ±0.05% FS.

Pressure data in engineering units is output through an Ethernet 10BaseT interface using industry standard TCP/IP or UDP protocol for compatibility with many third party vendors. The Intelligent Pressure Scanner is easily interfaced to a host computer via a standard Ethernet card. Software integration solutions are extensive including free start up software and extensive third party drivers for popular software programs like LabView™ or Agilent Vee. PSI can also supply high level utility programs and a DDE interface allowing use with virtually any Windows™ application.

The Model 9022 All-Media Intelligent Pressure Scanner is a component of a networked data acquisition concept called NetScanner™ System. The NetScanner™ System solution permits a system configuration of cost effective rackmount scanners, rugged pneumatic or liquid scanners and high accuracy barometers via an Ethernet network.
