Chell’s ISO17025 accredited UKAS Laboratory

Pressure Equivalence and Effective Area Calibration of Pneumatic Deadweight Testers and Piston Gauges by Crossfloat.

	Chell Instruments Ltd now offer a viable and cost effective alternative to customers who may have seen National Standards Laboratories such as NPL and NIST as the only facility for the calibration of their pneumatic pressure balances (Deadweight Testers/Piston Gauges)
Thanks to major investment in facilities and state-of-the-art pressure standards, Chell now offer a UKAS (ISO 17025) accredited calibration service for the calibration of gas deadweight testers over the pressure range 1.7 kPa to 7MPa in both gauge and absolute modes of operation (link to UKAS schedule).
What allows Chell to stand out amongst other laboratories (apart from our impressive 12 decades of pressure capability and very low uncertainties) is our ability to perform cross-floating over certain pressure ranges against our Schwien Mercomaster Manometers which enables us to pass on cost savings and faster turnaround times to our customers. We also supply full certification with each calibration including a graphical indication of effective area vs applied pressure. Please click on the image to the right for an example.
We specialise in the calibration, repair and maintenance of Bell & Howell (CEC) systems but other makes such as Ruska, Pressurements, DH Instruments, DH Budenberg, SI Barnet and Ametek can also be catered for.
