All instruments returned to Chell for repair or calibration
must be accompanied by a completed equipment return / COSHH
declaration form (calibration
matrix and equipment return form 24K pdf).
The equipment return form also includes a UKAS calibration
price matrix for general pressure & flow transducer calibrations.
Special purpose instruments are subject to individual costing.
What level of calibration
do I require?
| For general process measurement and control purposes,
a 5 point plus zero calibration will usually suffice. For
critical applications or where the instrument will be used
to calibration other instruments, we recommend a 10 point
plus zero calibration. Unless specifically requested, no
adjustments will be performed on your instrument if the
results show it already conforms to the manufacturers published
accuracy specification. At no time will adjustments be
performed without your permission. |
Fast turnaround
| To reduce downtime we provide the option of a rapid turnaround
for your instrument. Our 'Panic' service offers a 24 hour
turnaround from receipt, subject to prior arrangement and
100% surcharge. The 'Priority' service offers a 48 hour
turnaround from receipt, also subject to prior arrangement
and a 50% surcharge. |
The laboratory must be contacted before hand and an ERA
number obtained prior to dispatching your instrument to
us. Please note 'Panic' service is not available on high
accuracy instruments requiring extended warm up times,
nor on equipment requiring major repair or decontamination
prior to calibration. |
Special purpose instruments & requirements
Please contact the calibration laboratory for a written quotation
for the calibration of special purpose instruments such as
pressure or flow transfer standards & calibrators, air data test sets,
aneroid barometers and multi-range flow systems.
