Chell Instruments have represented Pressure System Inc in the U.K. for a
number of years and have extensive experience of their applications from
wind tunnels to on-vehicle testing.
The pressure scanner measures
a series of pressures (up to 64 channels on
one scanner) with individual transducers. The output from these transducers
is multiplexed at speeds up to 20kHz so in most instances the measurement
from all ports can be treated as simultaneous.
The scanners incorporate a bi-stable shuttle valve to allow in-situ calibration
or alternatively it can be fitted with a temperature sensor to facilitate
thermal compensation.
Also available are larger scale transducers and scanners that have applications
in tunnel wall or pitot-static measurements. Transducers are available with
accuracies up to 0.01% full scale or 0.05% of reading.
